Apple’s ‘novelty’ of payment option could open up more money for consumers
Apple has begun offering a payment option for users with its Apple Pay and Apple Pay Cash cards.
Apple says users will be able to use the card to pay for Apple products and services, and to pay in Apple Pay using their Apple Pay debit or credit cards.
The new Apple Pay card has been available for purchase since June 2017, and Apple says it is compatible with the Apple Pay iPhone and iPad.
Users will be charged an annual fee of $0.99.
The fee is waived for people with Apple Pay, Apple Pay cards, and existing Apple Pay accounts.
Apple says customers can access this option from a menu at checkout, and will not have to re-enter their account information every time they make a purchase.
Apple Pay is now available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
